EUS-2 Overfill Prevention Controller

Full Compliance with European and API Standards

As a stationary part of the overfill prevention system for liquid fuels, the new EUS-2 controller is designed to fully comply with EN 13922 and API RP 1004 standards, ensuring worldwide compatibility with various truck equipment. It automatically detects sensor types (five-wire or two-wire) and grounding control types (with or without grounding recognition) upon connection to the tank truck and activates the necessary operating mode. EUS-2 can manage up to eight two-wire sensors (optical or thermistor) or 12 five-wire sensors. It continuously monitors the level sensors, proper electrostatic grounding, and vapor recovery hose connection, ensuring a safe filling process. Bright, visible signal lights and a large multi-functional graphic display show the filling status and all operating conditions.

Highest Functional Safety

The EUS-2 controller continuously performs auto-diagnosis of all safety-related components and external wiring. Combined with two self-monitoring, redundant control outputs, it provides the highest functional safety for the loading process. Additional features include configurable control outputs, a serial data bus interface for optimal control and signaling, and a range of customizable options to meet specific customer needs.

Additional Features and Improvements

The EUS-2 is explosion-proof in accordance with the latest standards of European Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 95) and is designed for certification in gas hazardous zones (Zone 1, Gas Group IIB). It allows configuration and maintenance in hazardous areas, operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +60°C, and features bright LED signal lights visible from a wide 180° angle. The multi-functional graphic display facilitates easy menu-driven device configuration with multiple language sets available. A variety of accessories, such as an Ex i disconnector socket with an electronic parking socket, are also available.
